Vision

Valderrama Studio creates set design for floral art: strong, rustic, generous pieces that take their place in a room and speak for themselves.

Launched in Berlin in 2026, the studio opens with a first series devoted to Japanese floral art. Ikebana is a starting point, not a definition: the series to come will explore other territories. Each piece holds two forces, a raw, deconstructed base and a composed, precise top, and lets them meet.

The studio shapes the ground, never the arrangement. Ikebana remains the art of those who practise it; each piece is left open for them to complete.

  1. An object should earn its place in a room.
  2. Weight, mass, presence. Nothing here is small.
  3. Beauty is not decoration. Elegance leaves no room for the futile.
  4. A flower is invited, never required. The piece stands on its own.

Born in Paris and based in Berlin, Mélanie Valderrama designs objects of weight and presence, where beauty and elegance matter more than anything superfluous.

Here, the flowers are always another hand's gesture: each piece waits for the floral artist who will bring it to life.
